Michael Carroll is the author of Judge Dredd: Every Empire Falls (the #1 best-selling cult graphic novel on Amazon.co.uk) and loads of other comics, thirtyish books including the internationally acclaimed New Heroes series of young adult superhero novels, and the screenplay for the award-winning short film Judge Minty.
In the past he has dabbled in both horror and romance, as well as writing in those fields. He has won numerous awards for his fiction, though tragically he has, as yet, never won anything for writing his own convention bios. In fact, no one ever even mentions them. Though there was this one time when someone else wrote his bio for a programme book and, well, it wasn’t great, but the worst thing is that the piece was uncredited so it *looked* like Michael had written it himself. Not a good thing when the guest is an author! Luckily, that hasn’t happened this time, as far as you know.
Michael and his wife Leonia used to live in Dublin, Ireland, and they still do. They own the world’s largest collection of things that they don’t know where they are, but they swear they saw them around here just the other day.
